My Dear Victoria

Once upon a time we had a really super fantastic baby sitter, we'll call her Victoria. Really, everyone calls her Victoria. Oh how we loved our babysitter, Victoria. She loved our kids, our kids loved her, she had a car, she was always available on Valentines day and only sent my daughter to the ER once. Every time we saw V, we reminded her about our strict "no boyfriend" policy. This was crucial to my own personal kid free/hubby time. She would always reassure us, "Don't worry, I don't have a boyfriend." This is the point of the story where you would cue up the really sad music....The phone rang, and it was Victoria with some news....Jen, I have a boyfriend. Dumm Dumm Dmmmmmm. "What? Really? When could you have possibly had time?" It was no use, the decision was made. Fast forward a couple of years later here we are. Engagement session. Wow. She's really blossomed into such a beautiful young lady. I'm so happy that she found a great guy that can love and treat her right. She is such a great person with an even better heart. And yes, she will pay off her photography debt via babysitting hours. Love you V, we wish you all the luck and would like to remind you to find a place with a spare bedroom. My kids LOVE sleepovers.

Redheads are my Favorite Flavor

Last year I was treated, no more like cornered....ok, asked to donate something to my daughter's preschool fundraiser. I was so ready to be done with preschool all together, and pretty much counted the days until I was preschooler free. I dreamed about the dropping both kids off to the same school. Wow, the little things that make me happy? Any who, I don't even know where I was going with that, other than to say, I agreed to donate a session to Marie. Long story and one year later, we did the session.
The girls were a blast to see again, they are really two great kiddos. Madie, who had been a bit shy in our first session, really blossomed and stole the show. I'm sure it had nothing to do with my bias to redheads. Any way, I'm happy to say I'm glad Marie won her own recruit. I love this family.
